The BEED Learning Space Designer and Developer Summit was held on August 4th in Shanghai. The summit theme focuses on creating innovative learning spaces that support problem solving, inquiry and project based learning. Experts from all over the world had panel discussions about 'The Learning Space of the Future', 'Creating a Blueprint for New Age Learning Spaces', and 'Developing Design Principles linked to School Needs for Future Sustainability'.
 
Robarts Spaces co-founder and director Adam Robarts gave a well-received presentation on ‘How Project & Team-Based Learning (PBL & TBL) is Reshaping Classroom Designs’.

Robarts Spaces Shanghai staff were invited to attend Steelcase Sailing Regatta in early July and won the third place in the Regatta. Everybody enjoyed this exciting teambuilding experience.

Robarts Spaces was recently invited to share on the topic “The Future Office” at the JunHe Salon, held in the Robarts Spaces-designed JunHe Beijing office. JunHe is a well-known law firm in China breaking traditional stereotypes by exploring activity-based working in the legal sector. Robarts Spaces founder Adam Robarts presented office trends for law firms to a receptive audience and invited guests to experience the latest design tools such as VR.

Robarts Spaces held a dynamic creative studio for Beijing and Shanghai office staff last week. This studio analysed the learnings from three main projects successfully completed in recent months. Colleagues shared learnings and challenges from these projects and we left inspired by the engaging and meaningful discussions shared during the reflections.

Robarts Spaces participated in the grand opening of Epoch International Enterprises Inc on June 6, 2017. Epoch is a premier full-range contract electronic manufacturing service provider located in Dalian, China. This is a first Robarts spaces design project for a factory.
