Swire Properties invited Robarts Spaces to co-create a new workplace with a mission of enabling “staff to be their most innovative, effective and sustainable best selves”, offering a disruptive change in their ways of working for Swire and also serving as a benchmark for their own real-estate clients.

Inspiration for the design traces back to Swire’s history and is enlightened by emphasis on the local environment and the people who animate the space. With its beginnings in ocean shipping, over recent decades Swire has strongly committed to sustainable development. The new workplace puts environmental protection and human health at equal importance in all aspects including design concept, materials, furniture, lighting, acoustics, and air quality. This project has achieved both LEED Platinum and WELL Platinum certification.

Robarts Spaces Partner Yaching Hsueh presented at the WORKPLACE Shanghai Conference as a keynote speaker this month. Yaching shared our recently completed Swire Beijing project, sharing highlights of how this collaboration transformed the workplace with sustainability and wellness at the forefront of form and function. The result is an dynamic, inspiring, and uplifting benchmark office for Swire.

Robarts Spaces designers among others were invited to participate in the Haworth + Kvadrat Moodboard Contest in Shanghai in April. With more than ten teams in the spirited competition, the jury awarded the Robarts Spaces team as the winners.

The Shaw Contract team held their Design Awards Ceremony at Robarts Spaces' Shanghai studio. Two Robarts Spaces projects, Shui On Land Headquarter in Shanghai, and an International Consulting Firm's offices in Shenzhen both were awarded "Final Awards" by a jury of industry professionals, and received by Robarts Spaces team members. David Bates, Divisional Vice President of Sales, Shaw Contract Asia Pacific, commented that this is the first time in the Shaw Awards history that a company won two Final Awards. The 10,000 USD prize was contributed to a charity organization on behalf of Robarts Spaces. Click here for more project information.
