The design of this showroom achieves structure and order in a space that is otherwise quite unique and irregular. A modular grid concept design is applied to the ceiling, aiding in defining the function of each area and creating connectivity and fluidity between the ceiling, floors, and walls. The showroom interior intertwines many visible and invisible lines, designed and arranged to accentuate the freshness of the visual encounter and allow visitors to experience and interact with products in an engaging setting. Acoustic panels are abundant to reduce noise and echoes from the building itself. Cascading greenery on a vertical wall compliments this space with a relaxing and inviting feel.

Wallpaper* China’s November/December 2018 issue features Robarts Spaces collaboration with The LEGO Group for their Shanghai office known as "ShangHub". The highly integrative design process reflected the LEGO team’s objective to create and nurture "engagement through design", fostering collaboration, innovation, fun, respect with global & local connectedness to each other, to customers and to the LEGO brand and history. The ShangHub is the latest LEGO office designed with the "New Ways Of Working" strategy with employees empowered to choose their work setting, from a variety of workspace options, removing physical and organizational barriers to creativity. Guided by the needs of patients and their families, Evergreen Homeland aims to deliver the very best healthcare in a safe, compassionate environment; to advance that care through innovative research and humanistic consideration, and to improve the health and well-being of the diverse facility users it serves.

In order to ensure this inclusive approach, the design takes its inspiration from the Chinese scroll, ‘YaJi' as the main concept. It portrays traditional Chinese activities ranging from tea-ceremonies to games, calligraphy, meditation and music, expressing the essence of ancient Chinese culture and lifestyle. These activities translate into a variety of public, semi-public and private spaces dispersed throughout the facility, which aim to build a vibrant and lively community that connects people, nature, and culture.

Robarts Spaces has been awarded one of the Best Design Partners for 2016-2017 by China Merchants Shekou Holdings for its distinguished design for China Merchants Group Shanghai Center, China Merchants WaiGaoQiao.
