International Technology Firm - Shang Café

Providing both coherence with and contrast to a previous food service “café” that we completed for this international technology firm, this space features dark tones and the drama of upscale art deco Shanghai. Graphic elements are present on floors and screens, with geometric yet varying graphical patterns. Materiality includes glazed tiles, brick-like paving and terrazzo. Floor mosaic inlays are inspired by traditional Shanghainese art deco homes, bringing a retro vibe to this inspiring environment.
