As one of the largest private equity firms in China, Starquest sought to break the traditional reception and waiting area model to provide a more personal atmosphere for conversation along with smart office space, maximizing the efficiency of space usage and their employees’ experience and wellbeing. The reception area is set in a multifunctional space like a working café, creating a welcoming, cozy atmosphere with a nearby fireplace and enclosed by a detachable art screen. Together with the adjacent meeting room, the space function expands, integrating practicality and beauty.Sustainability is a core design principle, and the team was able to reuse many pieces from the previous office. The design team took detailed measurements and photographs of the furniture, lighting, and other electrical equipment, fully utilizing those pieces in the new office, resulting in an office that is designed for the firm and the environment.
